Lunch Time Talks

A series of occasional talks will be held on the second Monday of the month. The venue is the ARPA Facilities, Level 4, 25 Leigh Street, Adelaide.
The sessions will run from 12:00 to 2:00 pm including time for questions. Bring your lunch. There is a nominal charge of $3.00.

Margaret Brown: Advanced Care Directives and End of Life Decisions

Margaret Brown is a social scientist and a consultant researcher in advance care planning, advance care directives, supported decision-making and ethical decisions at the end-of-life. She is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of South Australia and the School of Medicine, University of Adelaide. She has run seminars on advance care directives for community groups and health professionals for over 20 years. Margaret has been an advisor to the SA Minister of Health and currently on the SA Board, End of Life Care Strategy Board.
Please note: bring your Advance Care Directive: Do it Yourself Kit if you wish, or kits will be available for purchase on the day for $5.00.

Natalie Bukojemski: Standing Up for Hips and Knees – Looking at the research on the best management (education, exercise and weight management) and pain science of managing hip and knee.

Natalie Bukojemski, physiotherapist, graduated in 2002. She is a Blackwood local and is passionate about providing high quality, evidence-based, holistic physiotherapy services within her community. Natalie uses a range of manual therapies and dry needling techniques combined with a strong focus on education, exercise and movement therapy. Natalie has special interests in orthopaedic/post surgery rehabilitation, Clinical Pilates, headaches, women’s health, shoulder dysfunction and complex musculoskeletal presentations. She also has a special interest in oncology rehabilitation and is a Certified Cancer Rehabilitation Therapist.
